  • A Michigan Manufacturer of Sensors
    $10 million company; niche manufacturer for electronics industry; new technology from abroad took over U.S. market. Needed to modify long-term strategic direction, rebuild sales and become more efficient. Used TAAF program to accomplish this. Firm is again profitable and has moved up-market.

  • An Indiana Machine Maker
    $25 million company; producer of specialized assembly line equipment; lost significant busienss to foreign competitors coming out of last recession. Needed to improve sales and marketing function as well as increase productivity. Used program to accomplish the former. This enabled the company to double sales and return to profitability.

  • A Small Auto Supplier
    $10 million stamper; highly concentrated Big 3 supply chain; losing sales to Chinese imports. Needed to expand customer base and move into more complicated parts. Used TAAF to reduce material costs, improve quality, expand design engineering capabilities, and pursue transplant business. Has weathered the auto industry collapse and is well positioned to rebound when market demand recovers.

  • An Ohio Producer of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
    $11 million producer of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Badly damaged by Chinese competition and the dot-com crash. Strategy to become a small-batch job shop for complex PCB work was aided by TAAF funding for recovery efforts: major cost-reduction project, new website and training for all levels of staff. Company's balance sheet now improved, sales increasing and worker morale and teamwork are excellent.
